After Care
SECOND SKIN
To remove the bandage, wash hands thoroughly with soap and water, then peel off the bandage starting from a bottom corner and pulling parallel to the skin. This may feel painful but will not hurt your tattoo. Removing the bandage under warm, running water may help.
Gently wash tattoo with unscented soap and lukewarm water using clean hands. You can wear this bandage for 3–7 days. If edges peel, fluid builds up, or it starts to feel irritated in any way, remove it sooner.
NON ADHERENT PAD
Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water then remove after 3–6 hours. With clean hands, gently wash tattoo with unscented soap and lukewarm water.
AFTER REMOVAL OF ANY BANDAGE TYPE
Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water. Gently wash tattoo with unscented soap and lukewarm water. Pat dry with a paper towel (no rubbing). Apply a thin layer of light, fragrance-free moisturizer (optional) (do not use vaseline).
Wash and moisturize 2–3 times daily for 2–4 weeks. Avoid soaking, swimming, and direct sunlight.
GENERAL
Always wash your hands thoroughly before cleaning, moisturizing or touching your tattoo. No picking or scratching! Itching is normal, but resist the urge. Avoid tight clothing over the tattoo.
Watch for infection: Redness, swelling, pus, or severe pain? Contact your doctor immediately and let us know.
PIERCINGS
Always wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before touching your piercing or the jewelry. Gently clean the area at least twice a day with a commercial saline solution. Do not use alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or harsh chemicals to clean your piercing.
Avoid touching your piercing. Don’t twist, turn, or move the jewelry. This can cause irritation and disrupt the healing process. Don’t remove or replace the jewelry until the piercing is fully healed. Avoid sleeping on the piercing.
Do not swim in pools, hot tubs, or natural bodies of water (lakes, oceans) until your piercing is fully healed.
